Alisha Guenzel: The Romance Writer
Alisha Guenzel was born in the summer of 1982. She has always been creative. From the time she could remember she had a pencil or pen in her hand. At the age of six her parents moved her to the panhandle of Texas. But every summer she would go visit her grandmother, Doris Lewis and other family in Massachusetts. It was there that her interest in writing really began.
But never taking it too seriously until her early thirties. Over the years she had written little short stories on her mothers type writer and when she was old enough to buy her first laptop she made the purchase from her aunt. She wrote stories all the time not really having a social life as teenager.
When she was 22 she met her first husband Bobby Turnbow. Her writing took a back burner for a few years and she stopped creating new stories from 2005-2010. But in between those years she became a mother to two wonderful children Rhett and Gracelynn. They kept her busy leaving her little time with her muse.
Unfortunately in 2010 her life changed drastically leaving her a single parent to her children. After her husband's tragic car accident she just lived for her children. Feeling like she had nothing left. Then she found her computer again. She began writing again.
In 2011 she met her future husband John Guenzel and his three children. In 2013 when John had to go on a trip back home to Wisconsin she found an old manuscript of a story of two friends that fell in love. But being young they didn't know how to be a couple. She pondered over it and created a love story for the ages about a single mother raising an autistic son on her own. It was called Unspoken Dreams.
Once it was complete and lots of talks with her Grandmother and husband she took the plunge to get it published. For the six months of publication she brought hope to all that read it. But soon after she left the publishing house that published it to become an Indie Author.
From 2013-to the Present she has been writing ever since. From Unspoken Dreams, there's been Jason's Duty, McGregor Sins, Road to Hope, and Family Bond. As well as her stand alone Dream Lover. McGregor Sins, Road to Hope, and Family Bond is part of her first series The McGregor Legacy. Currently she is working on the fourth and final book of the series A McGregor's Heart Song. As well as starting a new series that Dream Lover will be a part of called Forbidden Attraction Series.
There is more to come from Alisha Guenzel. She has learned a lot on her journey of being an Indie Writer and she hopes to bring joy to more readers as she expands her publication list.
